Serving the northern half of County Cork from studios in Mallow, C103 North is the regional opt-out of Cork's long-running local station C103. The service launched on 26 January 1990 as County Sound 103FM, originally licensed for north Cork before its franchise expanded across the whole county, and it adopted the C103 name in 2008. Broadcasting on frequencies between 102.6 and 103.9 FM, it mixes greatest-hits music from the 1960s to the 1980s with a strong talk and local news element, including farming coverage and community notices. It operates as a dual franchise with sister station Cork's 96FM under News UK's Onic group.
