Big Beat Radio is an online station celebrating big beat and breakbeat, the sample-heavy, funk-fuelled dance sound that exploded out of the UK in the 1990s. Its format mixes those chunky breaks with funk, hip-hop elements and big, party-ready hooks, keeping the energy high and the beats heavy. Streaming continuously over the internet as a format-only service, it offers a dedicated home for a genre that mainstream dance stations rarely programme in depth.
