BFBS Falklands is the local station of the British Forces Broadcasting Service in the Falkland Islands, serving the British military community based at Mount Pleasant Complex and their families. Part of the BFBS network founded in 1943 to entertain and inform British troops overseas, the station broadcasts around the clock on FM 102.4 across the main transmitter sites, 98.5 at Mount Pleasant and 91.1 from Sapper Hill above Stanley, alongside the companion BFBS Radio 2 service. Its mix of music, entertainment and Forces News keeps personnel in one of the most remote postings in the South Atlantic connected to home, and the service also streams online via BFBS Radioplayer.
