Beat 102-103 is the south-east's youth station, broadcasting on 102–103 FM to counties Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and south Tipperary. It began broadcasting on 1 July 2003 from studios in Waterford as Ireland's first-ever regional radio station, and its chart-driven Top 40 format made it the most listened-to station among 15- to 34-year-olds in the region, with around 157,000 weekly listeners. The station joined Bauer Media Audio Ireland — home of Today FM and Newstalk — in August 2024. Alongside the biggest current hits, Beat is known for local news, entertainment and a strong presence at events across the south-east.
