Observer Radio 91.1 FM is the broadcasting arm of the Observer Media Group in St. John’s, sister to the Daily Observer newspaper founded by the Derrick brothers in 1993. Branding itself «The Voice of the People», it is best known for that signature call-in programme and for Observer AM, its top-rated morning newstalk show, with the hour-long Big Stories package anchoring its evening news. The station built its reputation as an independent voice on Antigua’s airwaves, mixing news and talk with music, sports and community programming.
