94.7 KUMU — pronounced 'koo-moo', from the Hawaiian word for teacher — is Honolulu's rhythmic adult contemporary station, owned by Pacific Radio Group. First on air on June 30, 1967, it now serves Oʻahu with 100,000 watts and a feel-good blend of old-school R&B, soul, funk and adult hits under the banner 'The Rhythm of Hawaii'. Local presenters and a nightly slow-jam mood keep it rooted in island life.
