102.7 Star FM is Bombo Radyo Philippines’ Metro Manila flagship, DWSM, which pioneered the masa format on FM when the Star FM brand launched on April 22, 1994. The frequency began in 1978 as DWXB, remembered as the new-wave station WXB 102, and the modern station mixes OPM and pop hits with the network’s Bombo Network News, produced at its Makati news center for Star FM stations nationwide.
