Alternative Rock X Hits Radio is the alternative channel of 1.FM, the Swiss online radio network of 1.FM GmbH in Zug with its dozens of free music streams. The playlist crosses the alternative spectrum: indie rock, grunge, Britpop, post-punk and modern guitar bands, from pioneers like R.E.M. and The Cure to contemporary acts. True to the 1.FM formula, the station is online only and lets the music run without presenters or talk segments. For listeners who find mainstream rock radio too predictable, it offers a continuous, hit-conscious tour through four decades of alternative guitar music, available free worldwide.
