Billed as “The World Famous CFOX,” this Corus Entertainment station has been Vancouver’s rock flagship at 99.3 FM since the CFOX call sign arrived on January 6, 1979. The frequency itself goes back further: it signed on as CKLG-FM on October 15, 1964 and became Canada’s first full-time FM rock station in 1968. Today CFOX plays modern and alternative rock from downtown Vancouver studios, with its Mount Seymour transmitter covering the Lower Mainland.
