The Medway Towns — Chatham, Gillingham and Rochester — get their local service from KMFM Medway, heard on 107.9 FM across the towns and 100.4 FM on the Hoo Peninsula. It first took to the air on 1 September 1997 as Medway FM and now forms part of the KM Group's countywide KMFM network, mixing Kent-wide hit-music programming with Medway news, travel and advertising. Fittingly, the network's programmes are today produced from studios in Medway itself.
