Radio Caroline 259 Gold is a Dutch-run online station from Breskens in Zeeland that keeps the Caroline legend playing. The 259 in its name refers to the famous 259 metres wavelength under which Radio Caroline announced itself in its offshore years; this 'happy rock and album station' fills the day with classic rock and pop from the sixties through the nineties — Deep Purple, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Supertramp and Golden Earring. With English jingles proclaiming it live from the mainland of Europe, it is a nostalgic album station in the true free-radio tradition.
