Radio Caroline North broadcasts live from the MV Ross Revenge, the former trawler that became Radio Caroline's radio ship in 1983 and is now moored on the Blackwater Estuary near Bradwell, Essex. Since 2015 the North service has returned for special live weekends, usually once a month, relayed on Manx Radio's 1368 kHz transmitter. Caroline itself was founded by Ronan O'Rahilly in 1964, and the Ross Revenge is listed on the National Register of Historic Vessels.
