CliqHop IDM is the glitchier corner of SomaFM, the San Francisco listener-supported web network founded by Rusty Hodge in 2000. The channel specialises in IDM — intelligent dance music built from fractured beats, chopped samples and intricate electronic textures, from pioneering Warp-style artists to modern bedroom producers. It is headphone music with a dancefloor ancestry: cerebral, rhythmic and restlessly inventive.
