The Home Service channel of Pumpkin FM's 1940s Radio recreates the sound of wartime and post-war Britain, playing swing, big band, jazz and 1940s popular songs twenty-four hours a day. Vintage news items, period adverts and historical soundbites are woven between the records to complete the period atmosphere. It is one of several themed channels in the Pumpkin FM old-time radio family, which draws on a huge archive of Golden Age radio material.
