Broadcasting from Richmond Hill, just north of Toronto, 1 Pure Alternative is the flagship channel of the independent, non-commercial 1 Pure Radio Network. It plays alternative rock and indie pop from 1990 to today — think Radiohead, The Killers and Arctic Monkeys — with specialty programming digging into the genre's 1970s and 1980s roots.
